Hi, I am a first time mom who suffers from PPD. Even though I am living in Los Angeles ( I am very new in town), I am amazed of the way some doctors in this city (psychologists) care more about how they are going to get pay rather than caring about the situation of their new patients. It is important to say that I am not saying ALL OF THEM act in this way but the few I have reached they have asked me first about the way I am going to pay for my appointments rather than the reasons for me to get in contact with them. Since I am experiencing the discomfort of having all these very uncomfortable feelings, I really propose to those moms with possibilities of having therapy to take the initiative to help other moms who probably do not have the opportunity to get appropriate treatment with a doctor. I really want to believe there are still many individuals who love to help others and have the satisfaction to see them smiling again with no worries. I have not started my treatment but pretty soon I will, so after I get my help I really want to do as much as I can to help other moms who are in a similar situation. Once again, I invite those moms who experienced PPD and now are happy and completely fine to help those who are struggling with PPD and need your help. I think it is important to unify and help each other without thinking of the monetary benefits we can get by doing things like helping people to be happy and enjoy their times with kids and family.

Hi, I am a student at Chapman University and am conducting a study on postpartum depression and sleep deprivation. I am looking for 50 women who are suffering from postpartum depression symptoms to participate in this study by anonymously filling out a questionnaire. This study may bring new information about postpartum depression and its contributing factors to areas not previously researched. As a new mother who has suffered from these symptoms personally I ask for any willing mothers to please contact me via e-mail at dubo1801@chapman.edu. Thank you!
